Well it's taken me long enough to post pictures of our trip to San Diego - but finally I did it!
Janae was super proud of her advent calendar!

The girls help Nonnie pick Tangerines. They did this maybe 3 or 4 times when we were there (I don't know if they liked picking them or eating them more - but my kids were not Vitamin C deprived after that trip!)

Making Christmas cookies. The girls helped cut them out & then decorated them while I was on icing duty! Nonnie & Kevin made sure the kids always had cookies to decorate!
One day we went to the Children's Museum. It had so many fun activities for the kids.
These are little "carts" that the kids could drive around the room by pumping the handle up & down & you steered by moving the handle left & right. Janae needed help steering but could make it go - Lana of course could do it all by herself.
Papa watched the girls jump around in the tunnel.
These TVs were all over the place - they were at kid's level (or ground level) and played video of animals from their vantage point. The girls relaxed while we took a bathroom break.
Lana concentrates on making her lump of clay into... something.
Janae works with her clay too. It was fun to see how differently they approached it. Janae was more methodical & Lana was more abstract!
There was a room with huge puzzle pieces. When we got there it was all undone and my girls decided to put it all together!
The rock wall was definitely a highlight!

This was a station where you cut out felt and then could "stick" it on the felt wall. The scissors were pretty dull so after a few items she started looking for scrap pieces and made a smiley face. I cut out the A,N,A for her. :-)

Lana wants me to write that they were "weeble wobbles" in this photo.
This was supposed to be a picture of the girls & their nutcracker ornaments that they got from Papa & Nonnie but instead its a cute one of them in front of the tree! (the ornaments are what they are holding in their hands).
