The Dill's 1st Family Campout

While Kevin & I have been camping many times before, we haven't tackled camping as a family yet.  When the Omaha Dills asked us to come up and go camping with them we decided to take the leap!  We had a blast and roasted hot dogs over the fire, made smores & slept pretty well in a tent we borrowed from a friend.  I think we'll be tent shopping so that we can go camping more often! We managed to fit a lot into a one-night trip!

Alayna, Lana & Evalyn - fishing like pros! (Janae joined them later & the boys helped all of them fish).  No fish were caught, but fun was had!

This was one of maybe 2 bites that Janae took of her smore.  After that she decided it was too messy & opted for a less messy, non-roasted marshmallow!

We got to visit & pet some horses - maybe next time the big kids will be old enough to ride 'em!

We went to a mini-golf course & sent the kids along ahead of the grown-ups.  Lana celebrates getting the ball in the hole.  We had a few issues because Alayna knows how to play & thought Lana was cheating on purpose (Lana just hits the ball over & over until it gets in the hole & doesn't count) - also the kids kept wanting to play on our hole.  It wasn't a smooth time but I think was fun overall.  Eric creamed everyone & maybe set a course record!
