Pumpkin Patchin'

We decided it was time to go out & pick out our pumpkins (finally!).  Gardner has a fun pumpkin patch with various activities for the kiddos so we took advantage of Kevin's Fridays off.  It was pretty cold but we managed to have some fun!

They had tricycles for the kiddos that Lana enjoyed but Janae couldn't ride by herself (just a few more inches sweetie!)  Now if i could just get Lana to put a clip in her hair...

Kevin helps the girls with the diggers.

Fun with slides!

There were loads of these around the pumpkin patch and this was the best photo I got!  Can someone explain to the kids that they need to smile AND look at the camera?

We got the opportunity to jump on the only "jumping pillow" in Kansas City (about 25'x40').  Janae had trouble standing up with all the kids jumping around her.

Adults weren't allowed to jump - it was harder than it looked to stand this way with kids jumping around us!  Janae had a blast just jumping in one spot - Lana made her rounds around the entire pillow.

They had a train pulled by a tractor (so can it be called a train?).

Pumpkin patch time!  The patch was SOO muddy that we made the kids take off their shoes before getting into the car.  Both kids & Kevin & I picked out a pumpkin for our front porch.

Janae with Daddy & her pumpkin & Lana with Mommy & her pumpkin. Lana looked long and hard for that one - she wanted one with a REALLY long stem.  Notice Janae has a rain coat on?  We realized that we grabbed coats for our kids & Janae's didn't have a hood - too cold for not wearing a hat, but I remembered that her raincoat was in the car so Kevin went back to the car after a bit & grabbed that.  She had on a t'shirt, a sweater, a winter coat, a raincoat & mittens - hope she was warm enough!  :-)  They also had a hay maze, swingset, haunted "house" and other fun activities.  Next year we will try to hit the pumpkin patch earlier so we can go during warmer weather - it does open in September - and we went when all the schools were doing their field trips so it was pretty busy!
