Papa & Nonnie came out to Kansas to visit for Christmas this year. They stayed with us this time and we were amazed at how fast the time flew.

Hugh & Elaine drove up for lunch one day & so we took a photo of the girls with both their sets of grandparents.
We traded spending evenings at The Schmankes & our house. On the first night we made hot chocolate for the kids & they watched The Polar Express in the basement.

After the hot cocoa is gone, they all snuggle up in their sleeping bags for the rest of the show.
Papa & Nonnie came to church with us on Sunday morning & watched Lana play Mary in the Christmas skit.
Janae performed "Away in a Manger" with some of the Preschool - 1st graders.

We selected the box with their new boots so they could wear them to the Christmas Eve candlelighting service that night.

We remembered (as we were saying goodbye) to get a shot with Papa & Nonnie & the 4 grandkids. It was a nice visit & although the kids weren't really on their best behavior (I think it was all the excitement of Christmas, vacation & visitors) - we had a very good time together.
