Horseback riding

Gretchen & I bought a Groupon for going trail riding in south Olathe.  We tried scheduling it several times & even went down there once only to find out it was rained out and they forgot to call us.  grrrr...  we Finally got a chance to use it & it was a lot of fun.

We were given an introduction to our horses & a quick tutorial on basic horseback riding.

This is the barn where we learned how to tell our horse to "walk", stop & turn left, right, backwards, etc.  Gretchen's horse was Randi Sue.

My horse was Sam & he was an ex-show horse.

Our horses had to wear these masks during our ride to keep them from constantly eating the grass.  

It was the perfect day to go for a ride.  Beautiful!
