Rising Star Talent Show

Lana & some friends at school had been practicing a talent show dance since January - of course we didn't really think much of it (they were practicing at recess & singing the song while they danced) until the time came for permission slips.  Then we had to listen to the song & say we approved the song & dance.  Well - the version they sang was a little different than the actual version which had some words (damn & stupid) in it that were not school appropriate (they skipped over those lines when they practiced - but we couldn't really alter that for the talent show).  We then felt bad but we had to tell the girls that the song & dance they'd been working on would have to be changed.  They were real troopers & we picked a Kidz Bop song "Live While We're Young" & had 3 practices.  They did an awesome job!  Janae was then asked by a friend if she wanted to dance in the talent show - we picked a song & shortened it to 1 minute long & they basically free danced the whole time & had a blast.    All the kindergarteners also did a large group song performance for the parents.

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of Lana's group dancing :(  But I did take video.
