We typically get together with Kevin's family in August to celebrate Hugh, Eric & Lana's birthday together. This year, Elaine asked if we could come to her house & Lana requested her "famous noodles" for lunch.
Lana & Alayna spent most of the day making these clay creations. It was one of Lana's birthday presents from her party - clay that came with a booklet that showed them step-by-step instructions on making different clay creatures.
We of course had to open presents. Lana got a La-la-loopsy doll from Grandma & Grandpa that she had been saving up for (the big sister of another doll she has). She also got Minecraft from Uncle Ryan & Aunt Heather - she had been begging to get that game for her computer for months how. Her friend (and neighbor) Bremmer plays it & Lana has the pocket version on my tablet but it has limitations. She was so excited to get home & play it that she was ready to leave the party right then & there. Yeah for the socialization that computer games encourage! Oh wait...
Elaine made a chocolate cake & had each of the birthday girl/boys blow out the appropriate number of candles. :)
